BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhuanet) -- The shipping vessel "Kuang Ta Hsin 28" had to be towed back because the shooting had damaged its oil tank.

Officials have counted altogether 52 bullet holes on the boat’s body. Autopsy reports showed that Hung Shih-cheng was shot through neck. Taiwan Foreign Affairs officials say a investigation team has been set up in Taiwan, and is heading to the Philippines right away.

“The bullet holes are scattered all around the boat. Some have gone right through. So we cannot rule out the possibility that the Philippines used heavy weapons,” said Liu Chia-kai, an official investigator.

“We are going to the Philippines to investigate. And we are going to compare our investigation results with that of the Philippines. This is very important and we are going to do it quickly,” said Lin Yung-lo, Taiwan Foreign Affairs Chief.
