The nerve center of relief operations in Gansu’s Minxian County. Loads and loads of supplies pour in. Young souls come with empathy.

Relief efforts in Gansu’s Minxian County are in full swing. Truck loads of food, medicine, water and basic amenities are being delivered to victims in the earthquake zone. Authorities say volunteers from near and afar made the relief efforts possible.

The nerve center of relief operations in Gansu’s Minxian County. Loads and loads of supplies pour in. Young souls come with empathy.

A volunteer said, "I just want to help my own people, they are my family."

Another volunteer said, "This is the spirit of Min County people. When one in trouble, everyone wants to help."

The third said, "We are a family. I want to protect them."

Sun Liqiang and his friends came from Xian to offer a helping hand. It took them18 hours by train.

Sun said, "I just want to do something meaningful while I’m young. I want to do as much as I can for my own country."

And an unusual delivery for this driver.

He said, "I delivered a truck of blankets already and now another truck of instant noodles."

Instant noodles, milk, water and bedding add up to four million yuan. And cash donations - all ready for the families in need.

Relief staff tell me that more and more will come in. But as more come in, they already beginning to deliver to the victims. They may have to drive in the night to get to the victims.
