Chinese ambassador to Poland stresses road of peaceful development

WARSAW, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- China was pleased to see more favorable conditions for the maintenance of overall stability in the world, said Chinese Ambassador to Poland Xu Jian.

He made the remarks at a forum on China, America and Russia's perspectives on contemporary security challenges in Polish National Defense University.

China Goes Hand in Hand with the World, he said that peace and development are two themes of the world, he said.

Even though the world is undergoing profound and complex changes, the theme of the times is still unchanged, he added.

China hopes that the international community would have a better understanding and offer support to China's sincerity and resolve to pursue peaceful development, said Xu, adding that China is ready to join hands with other countries in making continued efforts to the great cause of peace and development of mankind and in building an every bright future for the whole world.

During the forum, Xu communicated with the participants with the hot topics such as Diaoyu Islands, Syria, the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, the Chinese army construction, network security.

Xu jian is the first Chinese ambassador who has been invited to make a speech in the Polish National Defense University's forum.

Polish National Defense University is the civil-military highest defence academic institution . It was founded in 1765.
