BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Liu Qibao, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with a Laotian delegation on Monday.
The delegation, led by publicity chief of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Cheuang Sombounkhan, is in China for a week-long visit.
Liu, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, hailed the smooth growth of China-Laos relations, highlighting the positive role played by the leaders of the two countries.
Liu said the new CPC leadership will work with their Laotian counterparts to boost bilateral cooperation.
Cheuang Sombounkhan said the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Laotian government will work closely with the CPC and the Chinese government to solidify cooperation and promote party-to-party and country-to-country relations.
