Taiwan fisherman shot dead by Filipino military

TAIPEI, May 9 (Xinhua) -- A Taiwanese fisherman was shot dead on Thursday morning when a Filipino military ship opened fire on a Taiwanese fishing boat in a sea area southeast of Taiwan's southernmost tip, a senior official with the island's fishing authority said.
