Chinese top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng said here Wednesday that China is ready to work with Indonesia to advance their all-round strategic partnership.

Yu made the remarks as he met with Sidarto Danusubroto, chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, and his entourage.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said China-Indonesia relations are at an historic high point. He added that Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Indonesia earlier this month has lifted bilateral ties to a new stage of rapid and healthy growth.

According to Yu, China is ready to join with Indonesia to implement the consensus reached by their heads of state and continuously advance the all-round strategic partnership between the two countries.

He said the CPPCC has maintained close contact and sound cooperation with the People's Consultative Assembly, and is ready for an increased frequency of visits between the two sides so as to enhance mutual understanding and friendship among the two peoples.

Sidarto said China is an important power in the region and the world. He expressed a wish to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, trade, the economy, culture and defense.
