BEIJING, March 4-- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his French counterpart Laurent Fabius talked over phone on the Ukraine situation Tuesday night.

The two sides exchanged views and elaborated their respective stances, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

Both sides hold that efforts should be made to resolve the crisis via political means and to effectively preserve regional peace and stability.

The two sides also agreed to keep contact on that, the ministry said.
