The Beijing Traffic Management Bureau announced 10 intelligent traffic management systems that will ensure road safety and the smooth flow of traffic during the Olympic Games:

1. A modern transportation command system. At present, Beijing has established a modern Olympic traffic command center, the Yangshan bridge traffic command center and a traffic command center for 38 venues. These centers form a three-layer Olympic transport command technology system.
2. An automatic traffic incident detection alarm system.
3. A comprehensive traffic monitoring system that automatically identifies single- and double-digit car plates.
4. A digital high-definition integrated monitoring system in Olympic central area.
5. A closed-circuit digital traffic management system.
6. An intelligent regional traffic signal system.
7. A flexible management of the expressway traffic control system.
8. A traffic signal control system in which buses have priority.
9. A large-scale road-side intelligence and information boards.
10. A real-time road traffic prediction system.
