A girl weighed only 1,000 grams when she was born was discharged from the maternal and child health hospital of Hunan Province Monday after about 40 days of treatment. A woman surnamed Chen from Zhuzhou gave birth to the girl on January 31 after 29 weeks and four days of pregnancy. The baby's weight has increased to 1,720 grams and she can eat 35 to 40 ml of milk per feeding.
