BEIJING, Feb. 14 -- China's financial authorities are busy mulling a set of rules to regulate emerging Internet finance, the China Securities Regulatory Commission said on Friday.

The commission said in a news briefing that it will coordinate with the country's other financial authorities to work out regulations in order to safeguard sound development of Internet finance, a sector which has begun to boom recently.
