Liu Qi



Liu Qi, male, 59, Han nationality, native of Wujin, Jiangsu Province, was born in Nov. 1942. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in September 1975 and began to work in June 1968. He graduated from the Metallurgical Department of Beijing Institute of Iron and Steel Engineering, majoring in iron smelting. With a postgraduate education, he holds the professional title of senior engineer (professor in rank).

He is now a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee; secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee; mayorof Beijing.
