World Venezuela, Iraq to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Venezuela and Iraq established a joint working commission on November 9 to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly on oil production, official resource said.

The commission will be presided over by Iraqi Petroleum Minister Amir Mahammad Rasheed and his Venezuelan counterpart Ali Rodriguez.

Rodriguez told the press that he would soon lead a delegation to various members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), including Iraq, to exchange ideas about the ups and downs of the world petroleum market.

Visiting Iraqi minister added the two countries have taken the first step in establishing good relations, which not only cover petroleum production, but also cooperation in agriculture, science and culture.
