Sports Samsung Becomes China's First Official Olympics Sponsor

South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. unveiled on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with China to become its first official sponsor during next year's Sydney Olympic Games.

Under the agreement signed in Beijing on Tuesday, Samsung will provide China with two million yuan (240,000 dollars) and supply its "Anycall" mobile phones to China's national team.

In return, Samsung will have rights to use emblems of the Chinese national Olympic Committee on its products and ads.
