China Chinese Vice President Meets Albanian Visitor

Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao told visiting Albanian Defense Minister Luan Hajdaraga on November 23 that China values its friendly ties with Albania, and would like to further bilateral cooperation on the basis of the Five Principles of Peace and Co-Existence.

Hu, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, expressed his satisfaction with the development of Sino-Albanian ties in recent years.

He spoke highly of the Albanian government's adherence to the correct stance on the Taiwan issue.

Hajdaraga said that the Albanian people and government are always appreciative of the unselfish support offered by the Chinese people and government.

He noted that his government backs China's efforts to maintain world peace and stability.

He added that the Albanian government and people consider Taiwan a part of China, and are confident that the Taiwan issue will be solved according to the aspiration of the Chinese government and people.
