China Vice-Chairman of Tibet Meets Nepalese Consulate General

Yang Chuantang, vice-chairman of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, met with Shanka Prasad Pandey, the new consulate general of Nepal in Tibet on December 23.

Pandey said that his country hopes to further enhance relations with Tibet, especially in the areas of economy and trade.

Yang said that China's central government is ready to implement the ambitious strategy of developing its western regions, and Tibet will see fresh opportunities for development. A more open Tibet is willing to increase its trade links with Nepal, he added.
