Former Argentinean soccer superstar Diego Maradona is due in Cuba Tuesday for drug treatment, according to his doctor Alfredo Cahe at a press conference in Buns Aires on January 17.

The 39-year-old Maradona is set to leave on a flight with his wife Vlaudia Villafane and his parents.

A neurologist and heart specialist will also travel with him.

Maradona's doctors have revealed that he has a severe heart condition and that his life was in danger when he was first admitted to hospital after a cocaine overdose. (Xinhua)
