Foreign Businessmen Race to Invest in Shaanxi

The implementation of the strategy for the development of western China and continuous improvement in the province's investment environment have enhanced the foreign businessmen's confidence in investing in Shaanxi. By the end of January, enterprises from 72 countries and regions including the United States, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Canada and UK. have raced to establish firms in Shaanxi Province. According to statistics, the province has had 2604 registered foreign-funded enterprises, involving total investments of US$7.7 billion; registered capital, US$ 4.72 billion, payable foreign funds US$2.91 billion. All these indexes top those of other northwest Chinese provinces and regions..

Incomprehensive Statistics show that more than 520 enterprises of foreign countries and regions have established their permanent representative offices in Shaanxi Province since last year.
