Pakistan Says13 Civilians Killed in Indian Firing

At least 13 Pakistani people were killed in a border village in the Pakistan-administered Kashmir in an Indian firing later last night, the state-run Pakistan Television reported on February 25.

The report has been confirmed by the Inter-Service Public Relations of the Pakistani army.

According to the report, the incident took place in the village in the Kotli sub-sector for some religious gathering when the Indian forces opened fire on them, killing 13 people including five women and five children.

This was the latest of a series of bloody incidents on the Line of Control (LoC) which divides Pakistan and India in the disputed area of Kashmir this year.

There have been at least two exchanges of fire between Pakistani and Indian troops across the LoC since the beginning of this year, causing casualties to both sides.
