Official Warns of Highway Safety in China

Accidents on China's highways increased dramatically after the lunar new year, according to the Ministry of Communications.

Between February 10 and 19, 392 million passengers traveling by bus, up four percent on an annual basis.

During this period, there were 53 accidents on the highway. 108people died and 288 were injured, a huge increase from the same period last year, said Wang Yingjia, a ministry official
