Shanghai to Host Spanish Household Decoration Fair

Shanghai, China's largest commercial center, is to host the 2000 Spanish Household Decoration Fair from November 8 through 12, with more than 150 Spanish enterprises participating.

An official with the Spanish association of foreign trade announced here that the fair is expected to feature a 20,000 sq m exhibition area and thousands of Spanish-style exhibits in the fields of furniture, decorating materials, building materials and hardware articles.

A series of cultural and art activities including Spanish food festival and seminars on architecture and city planning will also be hosted during the five-day event.

As one of China's major trade partners in Europe, Sino-Spanish trade value has experienced a prosperous era in recent years. Statistics show that only in January-September last year, the two- way trade volume registered at 3.14 billion US dollars.
