World Bank to Provide More Support for West China

�� The World Bank has provided loans in southwestern China's Guizhou Province for anti-poverty campaigns, education, and forestry, and promised to give more.

�� A senior World Bank official is visiting Guizhou to review the use of the loans there. He said the World Bank will invest at least one billion U.S. dollars in infrastructure construction and water conservancy projects of China's western regions in the next three years.

�� The World Bank has provided 30 billion dollars of loans for China to finance more than 200 projects. Guizhou thinks it should get a larger share of the fund.
