Southwest China Police Smash Abducting Gang

Police in south west China's Yunnan province have arrested 34 members of a gang who have abducted and sold 17 women and 35 children in the province.

Police in the provincial capital of Kunming said they are working around the clock to rescue women and children who had been sold to other areas of the country.

Two of the gang members were arrested as they tried to sell abducted boys in neighbouring Guizhou province in early March. Police then successfully tracked down other members of the Kunming-based gang.
