Archaeologists Find Wooden Wall of Ancient Tomb

Archaeologists Thursday found woodenwalls of a 2,000-year-old tomb. The discovery of the wooden walls reveals that the tomb belonged to a king in the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC to 24 AD).

The walls of the tomb are intact. Archaeologists believe that the tomb has never been looted and must contain many invaluable items.

During the Han Dynasty, emperors and kings were buried in an underground chamber sealed with wooden walls. The wooden walls aremade of cypress.

The tomb was discovered in the western part of Beijing, a capital city of several ancient kingdoms and dynasties in north China.
