Taibei's Palace Museum Holds an Exhibition of Song Dynasty Cultural Relics

The Palace Museum in Taibei put on an exhibition of cultural relics of the Song Dynasty on March 29, displaying 189 pieces of paintings, china and calligraphy works, epitomizing the essence of the Chinese cultural relics

According to report, the exhibition is composed of five parts -- the Morality & Art, the Beauty in Simplicity, The Life and Art and the Merging of Culture, etc., including a precious painting "A Trip in Hills with Gurgling Brooks" of Fan Kuan and the "Model Calligraphy of Cold Food Festival" by Su Shi. They are all classical works in the Chinese history of Art, giving the audience a background of cultural features of the Song Dynasty in China.

Since these relics are things of the remote past and fragile, some of the exhibits have to be displayed in turn by dividing into two parts and the exhibition will last till Jun 30.
