Publishing Houses Prepare for E-Commerce

Publishing houses in Beijing are gearing up for a booming business in e-commerce.

For example, the China Map Publishing House recently advertised in the Beijing Youth Daily for 30 software engineers, web programmers and page designers for its newly established electronic information center.

The director of the center says that real estate development, commercial growth and expanding transportation systems will all require the building of a multi-functional geological information system.

Meanwhile, a number of other publishing houses in the Chinese capital are looking for web supervisors and personnel for data bank development.
