Smuggled Fossilized Dinosaur Eggs Seized in Henan

Police in Dengzhou City, central China's Henan Province, recently seized 59 fossilized dinosaur eggs that smugglers attempted to take out of the country.

On April 22, police received a report of the stolen eggs and later stopped a suspicious vehicle traveling from Neixiang County to Dengzhou.

The truck was stopped by officers, who discovered it was carrying three cases of the 150-million-year-old eggs, according to a police report.

Police arrested the four suspects, who bought the fossils in the county and intended to smuggle them overseas through Hong Kong.
