Science University in East China Sets Up Modern Art Center
The University of Science and Technology of China, based in Hefei, capital city of east China's Anhui Province, has established a modern art center.
The prestigious university, which is famous for research on basic theory of natural sciences, aims to provide students with a good foundation in art and culture, said an educator with the university.
The center will open a series of training programs including painting, music, calligraphy, and organize an annual art festival featuring cultural and art exchanges, art performances, concerts, seminars and exhibitions of photography, sculptures and paintings.
In addition, the center will help students use the Internet to enjoy art websites and learn more about cultural development abroad.
