China to Build Motorcycle Assembly Line in Angola

China will build the first motorcycle assembly line in Angola, with a total investment of 7.2 million U.S. dollars.

The Chinese Guangdong Overseas Construction Corporation (GOCC) presented Friday 10 samples of motorcycles to the Angolan Industrial Ministry, kicking off the bilateral cooperation in the assembly of motorcycles in Angola.

Chinese Ambassador to Angola Jiang Yuande attended the handover ceremony, saying this symbolic gesture not only constitutes one more proof of the solidarity and fraternity between the twocountries but also shows the good perspective of the futurecooperation in the assembly of motorcycles in Luanda.

According to Wang Fengzhong, head of the GOCC delegation, Angola is a big potential market for motorcycles although the country is currently suffering civil conflicts.

China is considered by African countries as a good example in the development of national economy and has good experience and technology that are practical and useful for African countries, said Angolan Industrial Minister Albina Assis at the ceremony.
