China to Hold International Seminar on Financial Reform

More than 200 top executives from financial circles in Europe, America, Asia and China will discuss the reform of China's banking sector at a seminar to be held in mid-May.

The high-profile International Seminar on Reform of China's Financial Industry is sponsored by the State Council Development Research Center, a government think-tank, and the Institute for International Research (IIR), one of the largest international conference organizers in the world.

The seminar will be held from May 16 to 18 in Beijing. Among the attendants are senior officials of regional banks, insurance and securities companies from Europe, America and Asia, as well as representatives from international organizations, research institutes and governments of other countries. Chinese government officials, heads of major Chinese banks, insurance companies, securities investment companies and research institutes will also attend the seminar.

Participants will discuss the progress of restructuring China's financial sector and the central government's financial policies. They will also exchange information about the global financial industry.
