Collection of Burmese Stories Published

The Chinese edition of a collection of Burmese short stories, written by Thein Pe Myint, a famous Burmese writer, was published on May 31.

The collection, titled Sweet and Sour, was first translated into English from Burmese by Indian first lady Usha Narayanan, and then translated into Chinese and published by the World Affairs Press of China.

The collection depicts in an emotional way the life of ordinary people, including their sentiments, difficulties and setbacks.

Visiting Indian President Kocheril Raman Narayanan and the first lady of India Usha Narayanan attended the collection's launching ceremony this morning.
