CSSCI CD-ROM Makes Debut
The CD-ROM of Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) made its debut on May 31, a reflection of the development of China's social science research.
CSSCI, issued by Nanjing University in east China's Jiangsu Province, was a key project of the Ministry of Education for 1999. As a reference tool, CSSCI provides information on source documents related to social sciences.
The CD-ROM gives an overall view of China's social scientific research organizations, universities, and rankings according to publication of Chinese social science articles.
An official from the Ministry of Education said that the publication of CSSCI is sure to push forward Chinese social science research as well as enhance the quality of social science periodicals.
