Kim Dae-jung to Return from Pyongyang by Plane

ROK President Kim Dae-jung returns to Seoul Thursday afternoon, ending a three-day summit visit to Pyongyang,Yonhap New Agency report says.

Kim is expected to come back by special plane, changing initial plans to return by road through the truce village of Panmunjom.

The South Korean president entered Pyongyang Tuesday morning with first lady Lee Hee-ho for an unprecedented inter-Korean summit.

He signed a landmark five-point joint declaration Wednesday night with DPRK top leader Kim Jong Il, pledging cooperation, exchanges and peaceful unification.

Kim invited Kim Jong Il to visit Seoul, and the latter said he will do so at an appropriate time.

The two leaders also agreed to arrange reunions for separated families around Aug. 15 Liberation Day and to open government-level dialogue.
