Ningbo Sees Enthusiastic Increment in Investment by Taiwan-funded Enterprises

Over ten Taiwanese-funded enterprises vie with one another to increase their investment in Ningbo, Zhejiang province with every individual investment value exceeding ten million dollars.

As informed by officials of Ningbo Development Zone Management Committee, the increment value of Taiwanese investment has hit over 70 million dollars. In Ningbo Tariff Bonded Area, the newly established Electronic Information Industry Garden has become the spotlight for the investment by Taiwanese entrepreneurs, in which 12 Taiwanese enterprises have so far settled down with a total investment value of 0.17 billion dollars. Due to the continuous rise of labor cost in Taiwan, China's mainland has become the first choice for Taiwan's industrial transfer. During the trade fair held in Ningbo, hundreds of Taiwanese entrepreneurs came in quest for investment opportunities so soon as getting the information of the fair.

Hou Rongli, Boss of Minghui Electronics Co. from Taipei says, 'The fast development of the mainland's IT industry has made the transfer of Taiwan's IT industry to mainland very attractive." Yang Zhengjie, Director of Ningbo Taiwanese-funded Enterprises Association says that with Taiwan Jufu Computer settling down in Ningbo Tariff Bonded Zone, a group of Taiwan investment projects such as Yongyang Tech., Baoying Electronics, Yangyi Electronics will follow one in the wake of the other. The statistics shows that 80% of the 800 Taiwanese-funded firms settled down in Ningbo have scored good results.
