University Adopts New Policy to Attract Scientists

Chinese University of Science and Technology has worked out a new policy to attract well-known scientists in the world to teach.

The school will provide 15,000 yuan (about 1,800 U.S. dollars) and comfortable living conditions for the invited scientists.

Most of the invited scientists, referred to as "masters," only work one month as it is hard for them to leave their posts for a long time, said the school's president Zhu Qing.

The masters are usually Nobel Prize laureates, academicians, or presidents of colleges, Zhu said.
