Shenzhen to Host 2nd Hi-tech Trade Fair in October

The Shenzhen people's government held a press conference in Guangzhou Wednesday, announcing that 2nd Hi-tech Trade Fair will be held in Shenzhen on October 11.

Shenzhen successfully held the first trade fair last year, at which 86 delegations from 31 provinces, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and 26 foreign countries had represented, with visitors exceeding 300 thousand.

The second trade fair consists of three parts: exhibition and trade of hi-tech achievements, exhibition of professional hi-tech products and hi-tech forum, with a total displaying area of as many as 34 thousand square meters. So far, there are 20 provinces and cities, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and 5 universities that have registered with the exhibition. Government institutions, non-governmental organizations and enterprises from 9 foreign countries such as America, Britain and Germany have applied for displaying stands.
