US Firm Brady Goes into Production in China

A subsidiary of US sign and label maker Brady Corp. has gone into operation in Wuxi City, east China. It will manufacture products for telecommunications companies such as Motorola, Nokia and Shanghai Bell.

The new company, located in the Singapore Industrial Park in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, is exclusively owned by Brady, with an investment of five million US dollars.

It is Brady's first production base in China and Brady considers China as an important market, said Katherine Hudson, CEO of Brady.

It will manufacture labels, bar codes for portable printers and software, die cutting materials for telecommunication, as well as special tapes and wire cable signs for aviation technology and anti-fake equipment, she said.

Brady, whose headquarters is in Wisconsin, has set up representative offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen over the past decade.
