Agreement Ensures Mobile Telecom Inter-Network Connection

China Mobile and China Unicom, the only two mobile telecom operators in China, Friday signed an agreement to ensure the inter-network connection.

The agreement marks the start of cooperation meant to benefit both of the two competitors.

The agreement will help standardize their service and raise the quality of the inter-network connection phone calls.

China Mobile is the country's largest GSM operator, engaged in businesses such as mobile voice, mobile data, IP telephone and multi-media.

China Unicom's business includes mobile telecommunication, paging, long-distance calls, data, IP telephone and Internet.
