International Housing Exhibition Held in Beijing
The 2000 China International Exhibition on Housing, sponsored by China's Ministry of Construction, opened Wednesday at the China International Exhibition Center.
More than 300 real estate enterprises and household product producers from the United States, Canada, Denmark, Austria, China and other countries and regions are displaying their latest technologies, products and real estate projects at the show.
The exhibition covers six sections, featuring the development of comfortable housing in China, real estate firms, new technologies and products from abroad, China's quality household products, and housing development in various Chinese cities.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Vice- Minister of Construction Ye Rutang said that China is pushing forward a massive housing construction drive, building more than 400 million square meters of floor space annually with investment exceeding 400 billion yuan.
