Shenzhen's Exports of Machinery and Electronics Up
Shenzhen's exports of machinery and electronic products have increased considerably in recent years.
The latest figures show that Shenzhen exported a total of 16.63 billion US dollars of machinery and electronics last year, accounting for one fourth of the country's total exports in the sector.
The figure made up one third of the overall exports of machinery and electronic in Guangdong, said a local economic official.
The official contributed the export increase to financial support by the Import and Export Bank of China, one of the country 's three policy-oriented banks established in 1994.
Over the past six years, the bank has offered almost six billion yuan (723 million US dollars) in loans to more than 20 machinery and electronics enterprises in Shenzhen.
