Sports Industry to Be Developed in Xinjiang
Zhou Shengtao, vice-secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region CPC committee, has recently called for Xinjiang's athletic circles to enact further reforms and develop the athletic industry.
According to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region NPC Standing Committee, the Xinjiang Athletic Committee has changed its name to the Xinjiang Athletic Department.
Zhou Shengtao presided at the opening ceremony of the Xinjiang Athletic Department. After being debriefed by the Xinjiang Athletic Department, he said, that during this period of reforms, work should not be stopped, people should stay focused and the state-owned assets should not diverted.
He also said, sports is an advanced culture. Xinjiang's sports industry will develop based on Xinjiang's characteristics and promote the sports popular in Xinjiang. He hopes that after the athletic department opens, it will undergo reforms and promote the development of the sports industry.
