Chinese NPC Vice-Chairman Meets Thai Delegation

Buhe, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met Sunday with Thai Deputy Prime Minister Korn Dabbaransi and his delegation.

Dabbaransi is leading a delegation of Thai businessmen and artists in China to mark the 25th anniversary of the forging of Sino-Thai diplomatic relations, at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

During the meeting, Buhe said that the two countries have had frequent high-level exchanges of visits in recent years, and bilateral cooperation has been fruitful, and Sino-Thai relations can serve as a good model for promoting good-neighborly relations and cooperation between nations.

He expressed the hope that the Thai business community would continue to play a positive role in promoting bilateral relations in the years ahead.

Dabbaransi, also president of Thailand-China Friendship Association, said that Thailand is fully prepared to promote its relations with China, expressing the hope that such relations will be even stronger in the new century.
