China Issues New Provision for Qualification Test of Lawyer

China has issued new provision for Qualification Test of Lawyer (QTL) this year, said an official from the Ministry of Justice Tuesday.

The revised provision amended measures about test application, the assigning of test questions, test paper printing, test and grading.

Moreover, the new QTL provision stipulates 14 test subjects, including constitution, nomology, system and practice of lawyer.

In addition, a committee to assign test questions will be set up and enrollment will be limited within a certain quota.

It is also said that test on foreign languages will be canceled this time.

Until now, China has more than 100,000 certified lawyers and more than 8,000 law offices.
