Vietnam's Party Leader Stresses Sino-Vietnam Friendship

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Le Kha Phieu stressed that relationship between the Parties and governments of Vietnam and China is becoming better and hoped the two sides would further strengthen their exchanges and cooperation.

Phieu made the remarks here Monday during meeting with new Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Qi Jianguo, who arrived here on July 27.

The Vietnamese Party leader said that further development of relations between two Parties and two countries serves the fundamental interests of the two peoples and benefits the peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world.

He also praised the rapid development of China's economy, saying that "China has accumulated a lot of valuable experiences the two sides should promote exchanges and cooperation with a view of joint development."
