2000 China Leather Expo Ends
Trade volume at the 2000 China Leather Expo have reached 100 million yuan (approximately 12 million U.S. dollars), up 500 million yuan over the previous expo.
More than 1,000 leather products including leather garments and leather machinery were put on show at the four-day expo, which ended Monday at Haining of east China's Zhejiang Province. It was the 7th of its kind since 1994.
The event attracted more than 600 enterprises from 13 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, including Hebei, Zhejiang, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Hong Kong, and 12 countries such as the U.S., France, Italy and the Netherlands.
The 21st Century China Leather Development Forum, lectures on International Leather-making Technology and a meeting for exchange of leather information were held simultaneously.
The exposition was co-sponsored by the Zhejiang provincial government, State Administration of Light Industry, State Administration of Internal Trade, China Association for Leather Industry and Haining government.
