Young Officials with Strong Ability to Be Promoted: Hu Jintao
Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao recently stressed that young officials with socialist morality and strong ability should be promoted.
During his recent inspection tour to north China's Hebei Province, Hu said in order to wisely select young cadres, the committees of Communist Party of China (CPC) and governments at various levels must ensure the selection to be open, fair and competitive, said Hu, also a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau.
Both central and local authorities must allow people to commend officials they trust as well as carry out democratic procedure of cadre selection, promotion and appraisal, Hu said.
Hu urged the whole party to create an ideal environment for cultivating talented young officials and promoting them to leading posts.
Hu visited villages in Mancheng County and Gaobeidian City, as well as China Lucky Group Corporation, the state's largest State-owned film company.
