Ma Lin Took 2000 World Cup Men's Table Tennis Singles Title
Ma Lin Sunday beat ROK Kim Taek Soo and took 2000 World Cup men's table tennis singles title in the first international 40mm pingpong ball tournament held in Yangzhou, China.

Wang Liqin, Sydney Olympic doubles gold winner, secured the bronze medal for China. In contrast to Kim Taek Soo sorry not to have his forehand topspin brought into full play, Ma Lin showed full confidence in beating his opponent 21-10, 21-13 and 21-9 and finally won a US$44,000 reward from the World Cup.
