Guangdong Foreign Trade Continues to Rise Fast

South China's Guangdong Province did 124.95 billion U.S. dollars worth of imports and exports in the first three quarters of the year, up 26.1 percent from the same period last year.

During January-September period, Guangdong exported 67.98 billion U.S. dollars worth of commodities, up 24.8 percent or accounting for 37.3 percent of the national total. It has realized a favorable foreign trade balance of 11.01 billion U.S. dollars.

This southern Chinese province has kept a fast growth in export since the beginning of the year. In September alone, it exported 8.62 billion U.S. dollars worth of commodities.

Guangdong's exports are mainly made up of electro-mechanical commodities, garments and accessories, automatic data processing equipment and spare parts, footwear and toys.

The province also imported 56.97 billion U.S. dollars worth of commodities in the first nine months, up 27.7 percent from the same period last year.
