China Ensure Women's Doubles Title

China ensured the women's doubles title at the World Junior Badminton Championships on Friday by clinching all semi-finals slots.

China's top four seeds, spearheaded by top seeds and Asian junior champions Zhang Yawen and Wei Yili, won their quarter-finals Friday evening to make it all-Chinese semi-finals.

In men's doubles, unseeded Indonesian pair Hendra A Gunawan and Markis Kidho, who beat Chinese third seeds Gu Jian and Tao Nianyun Thursday evening to make the quarter-finals, advanced after they toppled Malaysia's sixth seeds Kuan Beng Hong and Lee Chong Wei 7-1, 7-3, 8-6.

They are due to take on top seeds Sang Yang and Zheng Bo, who whitewashed seventh seeds Lee Jae Jin and Chung Jae Sung from South Korea, 7-1, 7-3, 8-6.
