Shanghai Boosts E-Commerce Development

According to news from the ongoing "Shanghai Science and Technology Forum 2000", Shanghai will offer, for enterprises of its own and of the whole country, an environment in the near future for the development of e-commerce at a low cost yet of high efficiency.

So far, the framework of e-commerce in Shanghai has by and large come into being and entered into the stage for operation. The establishment of Shanghai CA center, the first one in China, has offered us guarantee for the safety operation of e-business and other business operations on the net. With the gold-card project and online payment system being improved day by day and all financial institutions in Shanghai realized mutual linkage and interflow through bank card network service center, it has laid a very sound foundation for a collective development of online payment of e-commerce in the city.
