ROK IT Enterprises to Open Business in South China

A delegation of 54 IT enterprises from the Republic of Korea (ROK) arrived Monday in Guangzhou to attend the "China-ROK IT Industry Fair Guangzhou 2000" to be held December 19-20.

Lee Dan Hyung, director of Korea Institute of Multimedia Contents & Software, also came to attend this fair as the head of the delegation, saying that the Korean enterprises attending this fair all plan to open businesses in Guangzhou.

Those enterprises include many world famous IT companies, such as LG Electronics Appliance Co., Ltd., Sam Sung Electric Ind. Co., Ltd., and Hyundai Electronics Industries Co., Ltd.

During the two-day event, a meeting will be held to brief the development of China's IT industry and the environment for investment.

The two sides will also hold a symposium on the technologies in IT industry, and conduct trade talks between enterprises.

In preparation for making investment in this city, the Korean representatives will also visit Guangzhou Science City, Tianhe Software Park, and Huanghuagang Information Park.

The governments of the two countries will also sign a memorandum to establish a regular consultation system so as to better guide their bilateral cooperation.
